The Martzishor

On Monday, we have celebrated the Martzishor Day or the 1st of March…It is a purely authentic Romanian celebration with mythological roots, that is connected with the beginning of spring and the end of winter, a sort of solar victory over the cruel coldness.

Indeed, the first day of March was warm and the sun shone, but the most important thing of all was to receive the first sunbeams of spring  in our hearts, to feel their beauty and purity.

This is why I wish all the women to have a wonderful spring and never forget to feel young and beautiful!
